Complementary Currency

What is Minuto?

Minuto is a complementary means of payment in the form of vouchers - self-created and decentralized. It is a local and regional currency for many regions1 and a practice-oriented, social networking project that focuses on people and their skills.

Vouchers

People issue Minuto as vouchers for their quality work time (time x performance = energy). These vouchers can be used similarly to other money.

Self-issued

Issue Minuto by yourself by printing out a template on ordinary paper, adding your details to each voucher and having them signed by two guarantors.

Organized decentrally

There is no central issuing office behind Minuto. Each person who issues Minutos is, so to speak, his or her own central bank.

Regional

Since the vouchers are exchanged in paper form and people in the same region can network most easily, it works best regionally.

For many regions

Since no single issuing centre is required, the Minuto concept can be applied in many regions1.

Social networking

Minuto helps connect people and works best among people who know and trust each other.
